Inclusive Society for All

Brihonnola is a student-led non-profit organization from the University of Dhaka, committed to integrating gender-diverse communities into mainstream society.

Advocating for Rights

Since 2017, Brihonnola has been actively working to recognize and acknowledge the rights of gender-diverse communities.

Policy and Media Activism

The organization focuses on policy advocacy and media activism, striving to eliminate social stigmas and enhance acceptance.

Innovative Social Initiatives

Brihonnola implements various projects to reduce inequalities, including efforts in education, employment, and workplace inclusion.

LATE TAHIR ZAMAN PRIYO

(March 7, 1997-July, 19, 2024)

Life-long Member

Tahir Zaman Priyo, a dedicated photojournalist and a committed volunteer of Brihonnola, contributed significantly to the organization by covering news and helping create documentaries. He was a proud member of Brihonnola until his tragic death on July 19, 2024, when he was shot by the police during a quota reform protest in Dhaka. In honor of his contributions, Brihonnola awarded him a life-long membership recognition. Tahir Zaman Priyo will forever remain in the hearts of all Brihonnola members.
